The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), in collaboration with the Soufriere Monitoring Unit (SMU), and the University of the West Indies (UWI), Seismic Research Center (SRC), Volcano Ready Communities Project Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). invites all residents of Biabou, Dickson, Barrouallie, and Calliaqua; to community meetings as follows:

 Monday 20th May - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. 

 Biabou Bridge
 Dickson  Tuesday 21st May - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Dickson junction (just before the gap
 leading to the primary school) 
 Barrouallie  Wednesday 22nd May - 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. 

 Barrouallie Play  Ground
 Calliaqua  Thursday 23rd May - 5:00 - 7:00 pm.   Calliaqua Hard Court

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • Discuss evacuations plans for each of the communities in the event of a volcanic eruption.
  • Sensitise members of the communities about the Tradewinds Exercise 2019.
  • Look at the procedure for the volunteers to participate in the Tradewinds Exercise 2019.

All residents of the communities are asked to make a special effort to attend the meetings.
