Over the past 48 hours, occasional moderate to heavy showers and periods of rain have been experienced across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Rainfall accumulations of approximately 4 inches with isolated higher amounts have occurred in the mountainous areas. At the Argyle International Airport, 119 mm (~4.7 inches), were recorded for the past 48 hours.

As another tropical wave is expected to spread some moderate to heavy showers, periods of rain, isolated thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines today, Wednesday 18th October, adding to the already unsettled conditions, a FLOOD-WARNING is now in effect for the country until 6:00 p.m.,, and may be extended if conditions warrant.

The Barbados Meteorological Services and the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the progress of this wave.
