Sergeant Henry Providence attached to the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is reminding Vehicular operators and owners that by law it is illegal to play amplified sounds produced by a radio, or other mechanical sound-making devices from within the vehicle.

Sergeant Providence also advises that it is illegal to add any additional mechanical sound-making devices to a vehicle other than what was originally installed.  He said that Section 31 of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act states that persons wishing to do so must first seek permission from the Commissioner of Police.
